I enrolled in a photography class 15 years ago in high school and was immediately hooked. Using my father's Nikon, I began exploring the local terrain in search of interesting subjects. I found them in abandoned railroad tracks, dilapidated barns and winding river beds. Looking back, those images are not so interesting, however they definitely provided a solid foundation for my love of photography. I left the camera behind when I went away to college. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance and took a job in the business world. Shortly after, I picked up the camera again and began where I left off. After building a darkroom in a cramped basement bathroom, there was no looking back.

Today, I travel a lot working and carrying an assortment of equipment inlcuding digital, 35mm, medium and large format cameras and lenses. I enjoy all aspects of making the finished print, color or b&w. Unfortunately this means purchasing all the necessary pieces of equipment...drymount press, mat cutters, framing equipment and of course color and b&w print and processing equipment. Not only do I enjoy working with my hands, it affords me the opportunity to ensure each step of the process is controlled by my standards. I don't mind paying a little extra for high quality materials, and I hope the results reflect that.
Recently, I've been shooting a lot of sports photography. However, fine-art photography is still my true passion. I hope to integrate my fine-art style into my action photos. Judging by the sports photos currently on this site, it's obvious this transformation is far from complete. However, I hope the progression becomes more apparent as new images are posted. I'm also in the process of putting together a studio. The studio will hopefully open new doors in terms of portraiture and still life. Check back soon to see a variety of new images. Until then, enjoy what's currently on the site and let me know what you think.
